About the Item

This late 19th Century English bookcase is a rare find for its stylistic 'lightness' in an era characterized by heavier design lines. The spindle-top bookcase is in outstanding condition, and is structurally very sound. As the picture show, the five shelves are well proportioned to hold books of varying sizes. Its overall dimensions and shallower depth of only 9" make it a flexible piece, fitting more easily into tighter spaces.
