Late 1800s bookcase with height adjustable shelves. If you are looking for a timeless and truly stylish antique bookcase then this rare specimen could be perfect for your room or office. It is beautifully handcrafted in the 1890s, it is practical in size, it has some 15 feet in bookshelf space, it has a marvelous patina and it is as strong and stable as the day it was made. This incredibly handsome bookcase is entirely made of solid oak and solid nutwood and the sides and front have been veneered with the most stunning burl nutwood imaginable. Filled with your favourite books and with some decorative items such as a clock or some bookends this work of beauty will look even more impressive. Thanks to the thickness and quality of the solid oak shelves, they are still perfectly straight. What makes this stylish antique extra attractive are the subtle and beautifully inlaid geometrical patterns in the front. The paper 'curtains' just below each shelf too are original and if you decide you don't like them then they are easily removed.
