About

One of the greatest sensations in furniture design in 2015 was the Panther Shelf, inspired by the Onça Pintada, a big feline typical to Brazilian and unfortunately an animal threatened with extinction. The piece surprises by the unusual format and by its great proportions. Composed of several interleaved parts of wood and lacquer, this bookcase is a sculpture able to store both books and objects. The launch took place at the MuBE (Brazilian Museum of Sculpture), where the pieces of the Henrique Steyer Furniture Line and other leading artists such as Marcelo Rosenbaum and Zanini de Zanine were presented. After launching in São Paulo, the Panther Shelf was shipped to Milan, Italy, where it represented Brazil at the largest design event in the world, iSaloni.
