About the Item

This Antique George IV Chippendale Flame Mahogany Buffet, dating to the mid-19th century, is a beautiful example of craftsmanship and refined design. Made from rich flame mahogany, the buffet features a striking grain pattern that adds warmth and depth to the piece. The design is elegant and understated, highlighted by finely carved details, including turned and fluted columns on the sides, offering both support and decorative appeal. The smooth top showcases the natural beauty of the wood, allowing the flame mahogany to take center stage. The buffet features three spacious drawers, each adorned with original glass pulls that add shine and sophistication. The carved detailing on the legs and corner posts is exquisite, and the piece is supported by distinctive ball and claw feet, a hallmark of the Chippendale style. The central open area provides additional storage or display space, further enhancing the buffet’s functionality. The craftsmanship is exceptional, with every detail, from the carved legs to the flame mahogany veneer, executed with precision. In excellent condition for its age, the buffet shows minimal wear, with the flame mahogany retaining its vibrant color and the glass pulls maintaining their original luster.
