About the Item

A French wooden buffet cabinet from the 19th century. This antique cabinet from France has a beautiful fruitwood grain shown throughout, which speaks to the simplistic and clean lines of the piece. The case houses a pair of half-sized drawers at top, over a pair of recessed panel drawers below (which open to reveal open storage within). The chest is raised upon a platform style base with a thick molding about the bottom. Brass hardware fittings are found on the drawers and doors. The medium tone wood has nice grain and patina. This 19th century French cabinet is a great versatile size, being just shy of 4.5 feet in length, it would function quite wonderfully in many rooms throughout the house.
