Solid walnut sideboard mid 19th century Louis Philippe. It opens on the one hand by two doors then revealing a shelf and on the other hand by two drawers called «doucine». This sideboard can be used to store heavy stacks of dishes. This piece of furniture offers considerable space saving since in addition to the dishes, the drawers can be used to store cutlery sets. The drawers are mounted dovetail ensuring perfect strength. This is how they can be opened daily and contain many objects. They slide perfectly. The entrances are made of wood: walnut and boxwood. They are very well made. The lock and key are in very good working order. The drawers open with wooden buttons. This organcase rests on feet called «pistolet » at the front and two straight feet at the back. The back of the sideboard has solid wood panels so very resistant. The top of the cabinet is a solid walnut wood top. Decorative objects can be deposited. It is a piece of furniture of character. The interior of the furniture has been cleaned so that the objects are stored in a very healthy and odorless environment. The buffet was once a symbol of social status.
