About the Item

Exceptional modernist bar/credenza made in solid caviúna wood (a Brazilian wood also known as "golden wood") with ceramic appliqué created at the artists’ atelier. This piece was designed around 1950. This is the second furniture of its kind seen until this date, the other model has the same configuration and dimensions, however, it has different ceramic appliqués (which are one of a kind as well). The second model was a part of Sergio Campos’ book, released in 2015 and called “Giuseppe Scapinelli – O designer da Emocão”.

Available today, this magnificent Mid-Century Modern credenza is entirely made of Caviuna hardwood and consists of six doors, three storage cabinets, six shelves and four drawers. The sides are curved and the structure rests on four legs. The wood has been refinished and besides the marks of age, the piece is in excellent condition. With this Brazilian Modern piece, Giuseppe Scapinelli highlights one of his favorite wood species, the caviuna of light blond appearance with darker veins that the designer knows how to play to form geometric patterns on the front that offers a contrast giving charm and lightness with the legs designed in curves.
