About the Item

A very fine Italian cabinet secretaire by Adriano Brambilla. The elaborately decorated cabinet on a stand with barley twist legs and frieze drawer, supporting a fall front secretaire containing drawers and a writing slope. The upper cabinet with shelves. The walnut cabinet is decorated in the Moorish taste with bone inlay, with two renaissance panels in silver, copper and enamel on each door, with a similar allegorical panel on the secretaire. The original locks and key.
