About the Item

c. 1900s; Clark and Roberts Co. - Indianapolis, IN Antique steel medical cabinet with glass walls. This unique piece was once utilized in a medical or dental setting. It is comprised of mostly cold-rolled steel embellished with faux japanned ornamentation across the top. Despite appearing as though it balances on its lower drwers, this cabinet features cabriole legs attached to brackets that run beneath the drawers, keeping them slightly elevated off the ground. Within the upper compartment is a single, adjustable glass shelf housed in a mostly-glass box, with tempered glass comprising the majority of this section. Below are a series of smaller drawers paired with a large storage cabinet. This is a very heavy, sturdy piece and is most easily moved by two people. 29" W x 18" D x 28.5" H Top interior: 23" W x 15.5" D Small drawers (x4): 2.75" W x 15.25" D x 0.75 "H Wide medium drawers (x2): 6.5" W x 15.25" D x 1.75" H Skinny medium drawers (x2): 3.75" W x 15.25" D x 1.75" H Deep medium drawers (x2): 3.75" W x 15.25" D x 2.5" H Large drawers (x1): 6.5" W x 15.25" D x 3.25" H Upper cabinet compartment: 9.25" W x 16" D x 2.5" H Lower cabinet compartment: 9.25" W x 16" D x 9" H Please refer to photos regarding condition.
