Exhibition Quality Mahogany Inlaid Serpentine Display Cabinet by Maple & Co

About

An exhibition quality mahogany inlaid serpentine antique display cabinet by Maple & Co of London. The upper section with a broken swan neck pediment with marquetry inlaid detail and circular paterae above the serpentine frieze depicting mermaids and foliate marquetry detail. Having a central serpentine shaped glazed door opening to reveal a silk lined shelved interior and having serpentine glazed ends. The lower section again of serpentine outline, having two mahogany lined drawers with Fine marquetry and pen-work detail also repeated on the serpentine end panels. The whole supported on four square tapering supports with ribbon and harebell inlaid detail united by a shelved under-tier. Made by Maple & Co of London and constructed using the finest fiddleback mahogany and satinwood crossbanded throughout, English, circa 1900. Dimensions: 85" high x 45" wide x 16" deep. Condition: This cabinet has been re-polished and re-lined in our workshops. Free UK Mainland delivery.
