About the Item
Rare Antique Secretary Cabinet in rococo with a clock. The cabinet is made by hand in solid pine around 1820 in northern Sweden. The cabinet is made in two parts. A lower cabinet with a secretary desk and interior drawers and an upper cabinet with a clock and curved rococo pediment. Fluted cabinet doors, on both the upper and lower cabinet, and the clock case in the centre.
Original paint with distress and patina. Healthy and solid frame. The mechanism to the clockwork has been serviced and was working at the time the photographs were taken. However we want to be clear that we do not leave any guarantees on the future function of the clock mechanism. The pediment measures 124 cm across and 29 cm deep, the frame itself is 114 by 24 cm. The lower cabinet with the secretary desk is 54 cm deep, 114 cm wide, 99 cm tall and 69.5 cm to the desk.
