At Six Dots we want all homes to have vibrant and unique work that reflects our individual personalities and preferences. We strive to keep our prices fair for the consumer and the maker. Everything we sell is made in our North London workshop. We are passionate about relocalising the production of the goods we consume. When we make locally we can create a better dialogue between the people who make and the people who buy. When we create this dialogue we can ensure that the products are made sustainably and ethically and help consumers recognise the true value of the objects that surround us. Joseph Ellwood is a British artist and designer working under the studio name: Six Dots Design. Joseph has been named one of 10 'Future Icons' in design by Wallpaper* magazine, collaborated with the luxury brand Rimowa, making the 'contemporary suitcase', and has embarked on numerous exciting projects in 2023. The aesthetic of the work aims to challenge and disrupt the mid-century norms of furniture today. I have taken inspiration from the likes of Perriand and Prouvé and distorted their pieces to create a body of work that relates to our current generation. The lives we live today are fluid in gender, identity, expression and thought. This collection represents this confusion, indecision and anxiety in a whimsical and endearing way.
