1750 Venezia Italy Wooden Green Lacquered Commode with Fantasy Birds and Flowers

This is an extraordinary Venetian wooden lacquered commode with polychrome flowers and fantasy birds on a green background. The top is lacquered to imitate the marble. The two drawers have fine and sinuous gilted carved edges. The curved shape of the body, on the front, on the sides, is the result of the high level craftemanships of the Venetian master cabinetery. Resting on tapered and carved legs, the commode attains an airy, and fine elegance. The commode showcases its elegance and the exquisite level of craftmanships through meticulousy carved edges and fine and depictions drawings of flora with fantasy birds.
