18th c. Provencal Painted Commode
About the Item
18th century baroque commode from Provence retaining wonderful dove grey painted surface. The shaped top with molded edge over three large paneled and shaped drawers retaining gold reveals, and the sides with raised and arched panels also with gold detailing. Lovely original patinated bronze hardware. Original turned bun feet. A pretty, versatile piece that would work well in a living room or a bedroom.
