About the Item

A fine example of a Continental Rococo fruitwood three drawer commode with serpentine front, probably Swiss in origin, dating to the 18th century, with exceptional tumbling block parquetry on the top and drawer fronts, a molded conforming top, and chamfered back, all supported by carved hoof feet. It appears to have retained its original ribbon decorated brass round pulls. Very good overall condition, with some old restorations, edge losses, and shrinkage cracks.
