About the Item

This Italian 18th century chest features an exquisite top adorned with a diamond pattern veneer, around a central landscape scene in marquetry. The horizontal diamond pattern is repeated on both the sides and the front. Two delicate drawers fill the body of this chest and open up with two brass ring pulls each. The darker veneer framing the drawers, scalloped skirt and sides provides an excellent visual contrast on this Italian 18th century chest. The chest is raised on four elegant tapered legs, also adorned with a two-toned veneer. This Italian chest is the embodiment of refinement and elegance. It would be a great compliment to any room, particularly in a living room, bedroom or study.
