About the Item

Chest of drawers hand-made in Italy in the mid 1800s using walnut. The chest of drawers featured four inlaid drawers with flat fronts. The hardware is not original to the piece, however it complements it well and adds a bit of decoration to an, otherwise, very simple and linear piece. The sides are made of inset chamfered boards framed by flat molding. The top features two large boards with straight edges and chamfered corners, which follow the shape of the case. The piece still sits in its original short carved legs. This is a beautiful, simple and elegant piece with gorgeous lines and patina. The light blue color, which was added at some point in its past, adds a soft layer of decoration and sophistication. This is a chest of drawers and that will provide plenty of storage and usable space on a daily basis because it is very well-built and fully function; additionally, its color and lines make it a timeless piece of furniture that will look great in any space with any furniture around it.
