19th century mahogany Biedermeier secretaire chest of drawers

About the Item

Pair of early 19th century mahogany Biedermeier secretaire commodes circa 1830. Rare pair of Biedermeier period Swedish chest of drawers.  4 drawers, each top drawer with a fully fitted interior of satinwood and mahogany drawers and pigeon holes.  Drawer front pulls down to form a small writing surface.    Drawer front decorated with brass stringing in a recessed cartouche. Lower drawers decorated with a brass strung applied cornucopia, each drawer with veneer in matched flame mahogany, flanked either side by a turned column with gilt collars. Standing on block feet. Expected surface marks and restorations to veneer.
