Aesthetic Victorian faux bamboo mirrored Birds-Eye Maple chest, circa 1880. Attributed to R.J. Horner and Company. Chest features three drawers for storage and a large faux bamboo framed mirror. This style reflects the Aesthetic Movement’s interest in natural forms and exotic materials while the birds-eye maple adds a unique texture. Dealer's label indicates chest originally sold by J.S.
