About the Item

A large and very well made Period Georgian Chest-On-Chest with dove-tail constructed drawers, bold broken pediment, pull out central return, intricate foliate drawer pulls and escutcheons and very fine fretwork and dentil moulding details on the Canted front corners as well as the top band and pediment. The base and foot also have particularly bold and very well done carving all in Period Georgian motif. Restoration recommended. Dimensions: depth 23.5” by 46.5” wide by 84.5” high. Condition: Please see detail photos. Restoration recommended. Various signs of age include old repair to one foot, lack of a key, Missing some fretwork from the right side top, and drawer beading in several places as well as expected stable age splits, finish and wood losses as detailed in the photos all mentioned for accuracy as the Chest retains an incredible Georgian presentation.
