About the Item

An extraordinary rococo-style chest in mahogany with serpentine front in book-matched figured mahogany showcasing the beautiful grain of the wood. Sweden, circa 1850. Features a scalloped pedestal top, original turned pulls on all four drawers, with carved acanthus appliqués on the rounded top corners and carved scroll feet. Top drawer is divided into compartments. Restored in our workshop with French-polish finish. Note: the color is not as red as it appears in the photos. Measures: 41 1/2" wide x 22" deep x 37" high Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
