About the Item

Circa 1960's mahogany chest of drawers by Baker Furniture Company. This lovely chest is from their highly collectible Historic Charleston collection. This is a copy of a period George III style chest, which would have been a prevalent style in Charleston in the 18th century. The chest has a wonderfully grained top, banded in cross grained mahogany, following down to simple sides. In the front of the case, there are four serpentine front drawers, flanked by gorgeous Chippendale carved quarter columns. The case is supported on fabulous shapely bracket feet. This piece has it all!
