Blue Painted Chest of Three Drawers, Sweden circa 1820-40
About the Item
This lovely blue painted chest of drawer has the simple yet elegant lines that reveal its Swedish country style.
Fluted carving along the canted sides and tapered fluted feet, two brass pulls on each drawer.
The (newer) professionally applied painted finish in layered blue tones with faux marble top accents the carved details while fitting the age of the pine chest as well.
Restored, the drawers function and the case is sturdy - ready to be used and enjoyed as a chest, nightstand or even side table.
Any scratches, cracks, nicks, etc. are commensurate with age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely chest.
