About the Item

Beautifully crafted Eldred Wheeler tiger maple bonnet top two part High Boy in Queen Anne style with cabriole legs, pad feet, and a bonnet top with finials and a carved fan motif. Crafted from highly figured "tiger maple" wood known for its distinctive striped grain. The highboy consists of two parts: an upper case with three short including a fan-carved center drawer over four graduated drawers with brass escutcheons and hardware. The lower case features a bold fan carved center drawer flanked by two short drawers. The Eldred Wheeler label adhered inside the drawer. The apron with carved center scrolls flanked by additional shell motifs and all raised up on Queen Anne legs with pad feet. Hidden behind the bonnet are two "secret" drawers. See photos. Dimensions: 38 1/2" W at legs, 84" H to top of finial and 19 3/8" D also at legs. Condition: Please see detail photos. The overall presentation is exceptional with slight age and use wear including some scuffs and wear to the feet mentioned for accuracy.
