Rare George III period grain painted chest of drawers, the top with molded edge over four graduated drawers and standing on bracket feet, the whole painted to imitate satinwood with a rosewood banding. A rare survivor of this kind of decoration and a very decorative and functional chest. Retaining mostly original paint; minor structural repairs. England, circa 1780.
