Pair, 19th Century Gustavian White Chest of Three Drawers, Sweden
About the Item
Pair of decorative Gustavian pine chest of drawers painted in shades of white, fitting their Swedish origin.
Canted fluted side posts with upper carved diamond medallion, carved fluted details along the three drawers, all setting on four tapered fluted feet.
The newer, professionally applied white custom antique white painted finish (with slight gray undertones) is perfectly distressed to fit the age and grace of this stunning pair of Gustavian chests.
Restored and ready for use, drawers function and open with two brass pulls each.
Any nicks, scratches, cracks, distress etc. is reflective of age and use and does not detract from the function nor elegant appeal of this striking pair of chests which may also serve as nightstands.
