Pair of 19th century Swedish painted faux marble top chest of drawers

About the Item

Pair of 19th century swedish painted faux marble top chest of drawers circa 1870. Hand painted top surface to simulate marble, stepped edge with dentil frieze detailing.  Canted corners with applied star and fluted detailing.  Short top drawer with panels and 2 deep drawers below. Standing on short tapered legs. Paintwork showing obvious signs of rubbing and minor losses. Minor surface marks to wood. Key and working locks to bottom 2 drawers, top drawer not fitted with lock. Later handles.
