Pair of Swedish Gustavian Style Blue Painted Chest of Drawers
About the Item
A pair of antique Swedish Gustavian style blue painted chest of three drawers, dating from the 19th century.
Each chest features a black painted rectangular top with canted corners in the front, sitting above a delicate meander décor molding running on three sides.
Front with three drawers with brass fittings, flanked by canted posts with fluted details and carved relief diamond motif the top.
Resting on tapered legs with flutings.
Sweden approximately 1840-1860.
Crafted in wood, later professional painted in a beautiful color with a lovely patina.
