Pair Of Italian 18th Century Transitional St. Walnut And Ormolu Commodes

About the Item

A handsome and high quality pair of Italian 18th century Transitional st. Walnut and Ormolu commodes. Each beautiful two drawer commode is raised on four square cabriole legs below the arbalest shaped front apron. The drawers above display elegant oval Ormolu pulls on either side flanking the keyhole escutcheon in the center. Each drawer has Walnut inlays around the perimeter which showcase the stunning wood grains of the center panels. Each drawer is finished on the interior with an elegant fleur-de-lis paper lining and fabric trim. At each side of wonderful square inlayed Walnut panels. Above are the rectangular Walnut tops with follow the shape of the commodes while being finished with a mottled edge.
