Pair of nightstands, lacquered wood, brass, Europe, 1960s.
These two lovely dark brown nightstands convince the viewer with their textured surface in combination with brass details. The cubic shape is structured with two drawers. With their dark lacquered surface, the look reminds of tiles. Yet due to the combination of materials and colors, this pair of nightstands has luxurious visual qualities. Note the brass line that surrounds the nightstand or the way the legs are attached as if the cabinet is floating.
