Rare 18th Century Mahogany bachelors Chest

About the Item

A rare Geo III mahogany bachelors chest of small proportions, the fold over top with polished interior rests on pull out lopes, above an arrangement four graduating drawers with pierced brass handles and lock plates. All raised on bracket feet. The front and sides retaining a warm well patinated colour. The top with a gentle sun faded colour, has a slight warp to the back right hand corner, otherwise good overall condition. Quality timber and colour. Circa 1760. H: 79 cm (31 1/8") W: 77 cm (30 5/16") D: 38 cm (14 15/16")
