About the Item

A spectacular Rococo Revival mahogany heavily carved serpentine two drawer commode, with a conforming top with carved border surmounting a case with two long drawers, each with foliate decorated pulls and bookmatched crotched mahogany veneers, flanked by ornately carved corners, continuing on to the scroll carved skirt, with a paneled back and supported by four detailed cabriole legs. This striking commode dates to the 19th century and is in very good condition, with some minor top scratches visible, other small imperfections, and light wear commensurate with age and use.
