Italian drop front Louis XV style bombe secretary/chest with three drawers. Brass Rococo pulls and escutcheons with a pair of keys that function. Drawers retain the original book paper lining. Signed V.G. made in Italy on back.

This original 18th century Louis XVI Secretaire has a stunning veneer and marquetry. The elegant unique slant-top desk or "secretaire en pente" combines different walnut veneer grains with maple and bird's-eye maple as well as satinwood.
