Mid-Century Raised Side Chest with Ebony Accents
Located in Atlanta, GA
An American wood-carved raised side chest with drawers, circa 1960's. This mid-century commode was created "from the work rooms and show rooms of Greenbaum Interiors" and is a very well made piece. It features a rectangular-shaped top with ebony inlay in the center and accenting the perimeter edges, atop a case which houses a pair of stacked drawers set between fluted side posts. The ebony trim continues on to the drawer fronts, outlining the panels, on diamond accents found along the skirt on either side, and wrapping the feet. This chest is presented on four squared legs, which taper gently towards their feet. This mid 20th century raised chest with two drawers will make a great end table for a seating arrangement, or small case piece...
