Expertly Restored Enameled Lane Staccato or Mosaic Brutalist Dresser & Mirror

About the Item

This dresser was designed in the brutalist style made iconic by Paul Evans, and manufactured by Lane USA, circa 1970s. Made with varied blocks of oak attached to the front, it lends an imposing and dramatic look. This model has been expertly refinished in a gorgeous white laquer contrasted by stained golden oak. The dresser features 9 expansive dovetail contruction drawers, with metal rails, and is very sturdy with smooth operation of the drawers, and for your added convenience and ease of use, we have installed high-quality rubber casters to the undercarriage, concealed by the original toe-kick. All drawers work smoothly and effectively, and the front provides a sense of depth absent of many other dressers or cabinets of the MCM era. Expertly refinished, with white laquer. Then, the oak panels were stained. Some oak panels have discreet and hard to see veneer patches. Once the cabinet was white laquered and the oak stained, the entire piece was coated in a clear satin laquer, then steel wooled and wax burnished by hand. Drawers work well with clean interiors. Mirror can be hung on the wall or attached to the dresser. Mirror Dimensions: HWD: 47 x 28.5 x 1 in.
