Italian, Veneto, Neoclassic Fruitwood 4-Door Scantonata Credenza, ca. 1790

About the Item

Constructed entirely of solid cherrywood and retraining a beautiful aged patina, having a rectangular top with a raised plate rest molding and with canted corners (scantonata) and molded edges above a conforming case with four paneled and locking doors, the doors with unusual carved “darts” in the corners, the interior with shelving, raised on uniquely shaped half hexagonal feet
