About the Item
This pine cabinet is a remarkable example of European country craftsmanship and original folk art painting. The deep patina of the pine is a result of many generations of use.
The door panels and sides are embellished with elaborate hand-painted floral motifs, while the crown and skirt have a traditional faux marble finish. Shades of green, red, and antique white/cream are all present.
Note carved tassel accents, original wrought iron hinges and date of 1726. Upper and lower cabinet each have one interior shelf.
This cupboard has been restored so it is strong, stable and ready for use. Old locks still function with key (2 included).
All nicks, scratches, cracks, scuffs, age-related separation of wood are a reflection of generations of use and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely cupboard.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed.
