About the Item

From the region of Normandy, France, this early nineteenth century painted vaisselier features ornately hand carved details of raies-de-coeur, beading, scrolling leaves, and a floral motif. The upper section of the piece has three narrow shelves with hand turned railings on the fronts and a groove in the bottom to hold plates upright forward facing. A carved rosette in the lower apron and Louis XV cabriole legs detailed with leaves finishes the look.
