About the Item

Absolutely Amazing Antique Brittany style French two door, single drawer carved cabinet with an upper plate gallery. French Breton design also known as Brittany style originated in the late 19th century France in a region to the west of Normandy, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. The nautical and maritime themes are often characterized in Breton furniture with the portrayal of ship wheels and decorative spindle accents. The heavily carved pieces tell a story through its symbolic carvings. This is a beautiful carved piece that might not be for everyone but if you love carved furniture this is the piece that will look great in any room and its a great size. Please note as shown in the photos the locks are not original and I do not have any keys. The crown has an old break that can be glued and is not noticeable when its on the top. Overall the cabinet is in good condition has some small chips and a (character) crack on top of the base it's a great piece.
