About the Item

A Swedish Rococo slant front desk. Front opens to reveal a large work surface, ten pull out drawers, seven cubbies and two pull out document holders. A sliding cover at the base opens to a hidden compartment. Visible furniture maker's mark - IGL. In the base, two small drawers sit atop two large drawers. Base supported by simple bracketed feet. Elaborate period brass hardware and original iron locks. Tastefully repainted exterior with black patina and pale blue (upper) interior.
