Antique Chippendale Style Drop Front Mahogany Desk for Restoration
About the Item
A well made and very decorative Drop Front Desk with boldly carved Scallop Shells, intricate brass Bat Wing pulls and escutcheons, four dove tail construction drawers, Gallery top and Ball and Claw foot. The writing surface door drops to reveal four small drawers, cubbies and another Scallop Shell center door which opens to reveal a small storage space with shelf. Lacking a key.
Dimensions: 41" H x 27" W x 18" D(closed) 31" D(open). Key present.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Restoration recommended as there is breakage to the Gallery (clearly shown in photos). Other various signs of age including some scratches, nicks and rubs to the top and drop section which do not greatly impact the presentation of this most decorative desk.
