English Mahogany Writing Desk

About the Item

This writing desk is finished on all four sides. The ends have fluted quarter columns. The legs and knuckles have acanthus leaves carved in high relief and terminate in ball and claw feet. The side aprons have carved arabesques. One side has all four drawers working, and the opposite side has two lower drawers working. The top two are dummy fronts. The hardware is original, and the finish has been professionally restored recently.
