About the Item

This seldomly seen designed executive desk by Svend Aage Madsen for Sigurd Hansens Møbelfabrik is truly a relic of design history. To my knowledge we are the only ones in the United States to offer one for sale currently. The desk is made of high-quality teak wood and is characterized by its unique design: a long center drawer, flanked by four drawers. The beveled detail edge and the organically shaped legs with added steel supports emphasize the exclusivity and attention to detail. This freestanding desk is not only an eye-catcher in any room, but also offers plenty of legroom and storage space for all your necessities. It combines style with practical storage solutions. This architectural desk is marked "Made in Denmark by Sighurd Hansens Mobelfabrik" and dates from around 1960. The desk is not only a functional piece of furniture, but also an investment in design history. This item has been lightly refinished. There are very minor signs of age and use. A few very small shallow pencil tip sized indentions that do not distract the eye from the beautiful teak wood grain. This desk is in perfect working condition. The key is original and the locking mechanism is perfectly functional.
