A Swedish, 19th century, Karl Johan drop front painted wood desk. This Swedish desk features a drop front part opening to multiple inner drawers with a pale finish. This desk part is maintained opened thanks to a metal armature on each side. Below the desk part are three lower graded drawers with round escutcheons and pulls on each side. The general color of the desk is more of a blue grey with slight turquoise accents and darker grey highlights on the trim. The desk is raised on short angled and tapered feet. Style wise, the Karl Johan period is the one that immediately follows the Gustavian period. This Swedish desk would decorate your bedroom, of office nicely. Kept open, the desk part would offer a nice decorative surface. Closed, it allows a good optimization of your space.
