Vintage Chippendale Style Mahogany Desk
About the Item
A fine quality Vintage Chippendale Style Mahogany Desk with a richly restored top and sympathetically restored drawer area. The solid brass pulls are original to the drawers of the Vintage Chippendale Style Mahogany Desk, while the interiors of the drawers are created from the highest quality hardwoods and the drawers are dovetailed both front and back. With seven standard drawers each with an in interior depth of 16″ this desk is both decorative and functional. It is built using a one part construction method, the top and two pedestals being permanently connected and still solid after decades of use. Great quality construction throughout the desk shines through even after approximately eighty years of use.
This desk has undergone a “sympathetic restoration” by a conservator with over forty years of experience. He has left the character imbued in the item from its’ previous owner while reviving the color and overall appeal of the desk.
As with all antique and used pieces of furniture there are signs of wear and tear but overall this item is in excellent original condition. Please look at the photos closely as they do show details of use.
