Modern iron frame mid-century desk with floating mahogany top and drawers designed by D.R. Bates & Jackson Gregory Jr. for Vista of California.
This hard-to-find vintage desk can be positioned with the drawers on either the right or left side of the sitting area.

Depth: 22 inches
Desk Top: 42" x 22" deep
Good vintage condition with minor scuffs and marks as expected with age. Minor chipping to lower edge of bottom drawer. See photos. Shows very well.

Robert Maxwell has always worked with stoneware. Stoneware is a high-fire ware, second only to porcelain in terms of vitrification. Objects usually emerge from the bisque firing a light tan color but can be turned to rust (red-brown) by reduction (reducing the amount of oxygen in the kiln.) Maxwell generally favors the rust colored body, which he often leaves unglazed when producing his signature style animals. His animals start life just like any other object on the potter’s wheel. The difference is that midway in the process a typical vessel form morphs into an imaginary animal. The open top becomes the mouth of the beast and the base, with the addition of a tail, becomes the rear end...

These are a great pair of mid-century Erik Ole Jorgnensen easy chairs in a stunning cognac suede. Really great Danish Modern design.
Very good overall condition. Frames appear to retain their original finish and have minor wear, scratches, scuffing as expected with age. Cognac suede slings are in very good condition with some minor wear along the seat rail. Shows extremely well.
