Midcentury Edmond Spence Walnut and Beech Dresser

About the Item

Edmond Spence, Coronation Collection for the Walpole Furniture Company six-drawer dresser from 1953. The implied volume of the bureau with its set back drawer faces, extended sideboards, tapered legs, sculpted pulls and raised edges give this minimal masterpiece a distinctive profile. Birch veneer with maple framing finished in a lightly toned clear lacquer. Stamped "Made in Sweden" on bottom. Solidly built, the six spacious drawers run smoothly, good vintage condition.
