This is an antique cellarette. An English, mahogany wine cellar or fireside store, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1780. Superb storage piece, with fine Georgian craftsmanship Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks present fine grain interest Deep russet and caramel hues dance across the square form Lid held securely with an inset lock through a boxwood diamond — In working order, key present Opening reveals a removable liner tray, in good, clean condition Dressed with brass loop handle to lid and a pair of drop handles for carriage Standing upon a quartet of shaped bracket feet This is an endearing antique cellarette, versatile for storage use throughout the home.
