About the Item
A refined French sideboard designed in the elegant modernist tradition attributed to Jules Leleu. The rectangular top above a case fitted with two pairs of doors, each finely decorated with geometric marquetry centered by delicate mother-of-pearl floral sprays. The doors open to reveal open compartments above 4 small drawers above lower, narrow compartments, all supported by short tapered legs. Exhibiting the harmonious proportions, restrained ornament, and superb craftsmanship characteristic of mid-century French decorative arts in the Art Deco lineage. A matching dry bar cabinet is also available which would make a lovely set in your dining room.
