About the Item

Fine Italian-made bar cabinet, 1940s. Made in the style of Osvaldo Borsani and Vittorio Dassi, this masterpiece best represents the quality of Italian craftsmanship. Expertly veneered with a barbed effect, this Highboard rests on a base of richly veined green marble. Truly remarkable and distinctive is the shape of the pedestal, sculptural yet elegant to the eye. In the central part are two drawers with brass handles and a mirror-lined bar compartment enclosed by two central doors bearing a noble hangout "en plein air." On the sides large rooms. Very elegant is the finely decorated glass top and the torchon motifs that are repeated in several places on the cabinet. Overall condition is good with some marks due to age and use. Gorgeous patina from time. The foot can be detached for easy transport.
